Not All Heroes Wear Capes
In recognition and appreciation of the hard work, dedication, and personal sacrifice our Ontario healthcare workers put forth each and every day in this fight against COVID-19, Samplits has launched a ‘Not All Heroes Wear Capes’ program. Many of our front-liners continue to work extra hours, double shifts, and risk their (and their families’) safety to care for those in need during this pandemic. To support these workers, Samplits, along with the trusted brands we work with, have joined forces to create Care Packages for our front-liners which include an assortment of personal hygiene products, health & wellness products, and nutritional food items. Care Packages are distributed by Samplits directly to hospitals and nursing homes for distribution to staff – it’s a small way for us to say thank you!
Our `Not All Heroes Wear Capes` program launched last month, and to date, we have distributed over 2000 Care Packages to healthcare workers at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, St. Michael’s Hospital, Providence Health Care, Salvation Army Senior Care, and Thornton View Long Term Care in Oshawa. Amid COVID-19, each care package was carefully packed and assembled as per hospital guidelines. Samplits worked diligently to ensure that preparation, handling, and shipping logistics ran smoothly and effectively, and ensured all COVID-19 precautionary measures were taken to keep our front-liners safe.
The program so far has been a tremendous success! Kathy Richmond from St. Joseph’s Healthcare expressed her gratitude on behalf of all front-line staff, “I would like to thank you so much for your generous contribution of Schick Intuition FAB Razors to the overnight kits that Burl from Samplits organized. I really appreciate it and the front line staff that are staying at the health centre during this challenging time away from their families are so appreciative of companies like yours that have stepped up to the plate to make things that much easier for them to do their jobs.”
These are unprecedented times, every little bit makes a difference and many of us have stepped forward to help beat this crisis. At Samplits we are utilizing our network and services in support of our healthcare communities – together we are staying united and will stay strong through these unexpected challenges.
We would like to thank the brands and agencies to date that were involved in donating various consumer packaged goods to our `Not All Heroes Wear Capes` program. Our partners include: Paradigm Public Relations, Church & Dwight, Pony Up, Bayer Canada, 3R’s, Vibrant Marketing, and Hello Fresh. We could not have done it without you! Here at Samplits, we believe sampling is a great way for consumers to try new products, it’s also a great way to support one another with products in a time of need. Thank you, front line workers!!
As the weather gets warmer in Ontario and as COVID-19 cases continue to decline, it is important to continue being mindful and practice social distancing, wear masks, and wash your hands frequently. Remember together, we are stronger!
